BYOB Virtual Event

Welcome Craft Community!

We hope everyone is staying healthy and safe. Our Craft Cultura book club is focused on creating safe spaces to share ideas, make new friends, and share books that focus on building community. Our goal is to build a book culture throughout the borderlands of South Texas. Whether you are reading books on social justice issues or self-help, we welcome all genres of literature!

With current social justice movements around the country combined with a global health pandemic, these have been stressful times for many of us. We have been working on ways to adapt our in-person book club and continue to build community online.

Do not feel pressured to finish the book/s, we encourage you to come whether you read them or not. Our discussion will use the books to open up themes and dialogue that we can all discuss.

July 3rd was our first Bring Your Own Book event held on Zoom. People were able to share books and tips that have helped them feel less isolated through this quarantine. Do NOT feel as if you are in this alone. ANYONE is welcomed to join our Zoom meetings. Please keep comments respectful and feel free to give us feedback.

Craft Cultura also congratulates Victoria Rojas on being the winner of our book club raffle! She won "There There" by Tommy Orange.

Here you can find the link to our Instagram where we will post our Zoom link in the bio section. https://www.instagram.com/craftcultura/

Hope to see you there!
