Blake Ramelb, a community organizer from Lahaina, Hawai'i, shares a message to our South Texas & RGV Borderlands residents on how we can help support the West Maui community as they rebuild after the Maui Wildfires that took place on August 8, 2023.

Thank you to Blake and all folks from Lahaina and Maui who have been working daily to provide resources to their community, while creating a new framework for the rest of us to learn how collective leadership works. It has been this grassroots effort that has allowed for us to connect and reimagine what a more just, sustainable future looks like when you center community voices and Native knowledge from the Borderlands to Hawai'i and beyond.
