On behalf of Craft Cultura, we would like to thank you for joining our first book club event last month. We were excited to see such a great turnout and hear what you all are reading.
Moving forward, we will be hosting our book club events on the last Sunday of each month. This month we will be meeting at Grind Coffee again. Sunday, February 23rd from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
For those who do not follow us on social media, our Books of the Month will be "Heavy" by Kiese Laymon and "Such a Fun Age" by Kiley Reid. Both Laymon and Reid are two prolific African-American authors who are making a buzz in the literary world. Feel free to Youtube them, they have great interviews. Do not feel pressured to finish the book/s or read both, we encourage you to come whether you read them or not. The books will open themes and dialogue that we can all discuss.
We also encourage that you all continue to bring any books that you are currently reading and would like to share. As we stated at our first meet, the book club is what WE ALL make it so please invite a friend and let's continue growing and engaging our community one book at a time.
